I picked this up for my 9-year-old and she spent two whole afternoons on it without asking for a screen once. The 16 colors are plenty to make the three dogs in the park actually look like dogs, and the numbers are easy enough for her to follow on her own.
The deep 1.25" canvas stands up on its own on my daughter's shelf, which she loves since she can rearrange the dogs whenever she wants. The three pups in the park scene came out way cuter than the box photo suggested. Took her about four evenings to finish, and she's already asking for another one.
The 16 paint pots were more than enough for the whole park scene, and my daughter finished the three dogs in two afternoons. Only thing is the lighter colors needed a second coat to cover the numbers, but it still looks cute hanging in her room.
