I was surprised how quickly the hat came together once I switched to the chunky yarn, and the bamboo feels really smooth in my hands. Changing the width with those puzzle pieces is actually fun and not fiddly at all.
I've made three hats and two scrunchies in a week — the chunky yarn really does knit up fast. The puzzle piece that adjusts the width is clever; I shrank it down for a scrunchie and it worked fine. Honestly the bamboo feels nicer than the plastic loom I had before.
The adjustable puzzle-piece design really is clever for getting different hat sizes without buying multiple looms. Took me a few tries to get the tension right on the scrunchie, but once I did it knit up in under an hour.
